VETURI PRABHAKARA SHASTRY 128TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OBSERVED

Tirupati, 7 February 2016: The 128th Jayanthi of renowned scholar, Sri Veturi Prabahakar Shastry was observed in a grand manner by Sri Veturi Vangamaya Peetham of TTD on Sunday.

Floral tributes have been paid to the eminent scholar to his life size bronze statue located in front of SVETA bhavan in Tirupati. Speaking on this occasion, the TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy said, Sri Veturi brought to light thousands of Annamaiah Keertans through intensive research. “He also did, a lot of research in telugu literature and brought to light the first Telugu word “Nagabu”, he observed.

All projects special officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao, Chief Editor Sapthagiri Sri Sailakumar, Services DyEO Sri L Vijayasaradhi, Vangamaya Peetham co-ordinator Sri Ramacharyulu and others were also present.
