Tirupati, 27 Oct. 19: As a custom Deepavali is being observed in a jubilant manner in BIRRD ortho hospital and there is every necessity to promote Green Deepavali, said TTD JEO and BIRRD Director Sri P Basanth Kumar.
In the capacity of Director, the JEO took part in the Deepavali celebrations in BIRRD hospital on Sunday evening. He interacted with the in patients who enthusiastically took part in the fest.
Later speaking to media, the new Director of BIRRD said, it is great to see that the doctors and patients all together enjoying the fest. We can clearly see the festival of lights in the eyes of the patients.
He also said there is need to encourage and observe Green Deepavali to avoid pollution, he added.
Meanwhile the patients and their attendants had a great time in burning crackers with enthusiasm.
Senior Doctors Dr Venka Reddy, Dr Srinivas, Dr Venugopal, Dr Murali and paramedical staffs also took part.

తిరుపతిలోని టిటిడికి చెందిన బర్డ్ ఆసుపత్రిలో ఆదివారం దీపావళి సంబరాలు ఘనంగా జరిగాయి. ఇంటికి దూరంగా ఆసుపత్రిలో చికిత్సపొందుతున్న వికలాంగ చిన్నారులతో కలిసి టిటిడి జెఈవో మ‌రియు బర్డ్ ఆసుపత్రి ఇన్‌చార్జ్ సంచాలకులు శ్రీ పి.బ‌సంత్ కుమార్ కుటుంబ స‌భ్యుల‌తో కలిసి టపాసులు కాల్చి దీపావళి జరుపుకున్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా జెఈవో మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ ఆసుపత్రిలో శస్త్రచికిత్సలు చేసుకున్న వారు ఇంటికి దూరంగా ఉన్నామన్న బెంగను దూరం చేసేందుకు 17 ఏళ్లుగా దీపావళి సంబరాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్టు తెలిపారు. బర్డ్ ఆసుపత్రి ఇన్‌చార్జ్ సంచాలకులుగా భాధ్య‌త‌లు తీసుకున్న త‌రువాత మొద‌టిసారిగా బ‌ర్డ్‌లో దీపావళి జ‌రుపుకోవ‌డం సంతోషంగా ఉంద‌న్నారు. ఆసుపత్రి డాక్టర్లు, వైద్య సిబ్బంది కలిసి రోగులతో మమేకమై టపాకాయలు పేల్చడం వల్ల రోగుల్లో మనోధైర్యం పెరుగుతుందన్నారు. బ‌ర్డ్‌లో అత్యాధునిక ఆపరేషన్‌ థియేటర్లు ఉన్నాయని, దేశం నలుమూలల నుంచి రోగులు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి వైద్యసేవలు పొందుతున్నారని వివరించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా భ‌క్తులంద‌రికి దీపావళి శుభాకాంక్ష‌లు తెలిపారు. అంతకుముందు వికలాంగ చిన్నారులకు బాణసంచా పంపిణీ చేశారు. అనంత‌రం వికలాంగ చిన్నారులు, వారి తల్లిదండ్రులు కలిసి జెఈవో, కుటుంబ స‌భ్యులు భోజ‌నం చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో బర్డ్ మెడిక‌ల్ సూప‌రిండెంట్ శ్రీ వెంకారెడ్డి, ఆసుపత్రి డాక్టర్లు, వైద్యసిబ్బంది, వికలాంగ చిన్నారులు, వారి తల్లిదండ్రులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
