WILL TELECAST THE GLORY OF TIRUPATI AND TIRUMALA ON SVBC SOON-EO

Tirumala, 7 July 2017: “The glory of Lord Venkateswara knows no bounds as He is Universal deity and we will telecast special programmes on the glory of Tirumala, Tirupati and other sub-shrines of TTD soon on SVBC”, informed TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.

The numero uno officer of TTD while attending to the calls of pilgrims from various states during the monthly “Dial Your EO” program at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday reacting to the suggestions of pilgrim callers Smt Someswari from Visakhapatnam and Sri Murali Krishna from Hyderabad thanked them for watching the programmes on SVBC and giving feedback. “I welcome more suggestions to improve our programs on SVBC as our mission is to take the glory of lord across the globe. We had recently held a review meeting on SVBC and very soon you will notice the changes in the quality of programs. We will also telecast the glory of Tirupati temples, Tirumala and importance of its surrounding places, telecast the lectures with eminent scholars soon on SVBC “, he added.

CHANGES IN VENDIVAKILI AND AGED PEOPLE DARSHAN GIVING GOOD RESULTS

Answering the callers Sri Srinath from Visakhapatnam, Anand from Hyderabad, Srinivas from Giddaluru, the EO said, the recent changes brought near vedi vakili is yielding good results and there is no jostling among the pilgrims with separate in and out lines. 100% TRANSPARENT ONLINE DIP SYSTEM

Clearing the doubts of a caller Sri Gopinath from Hyderabad, the TTD EO said the online dip system implemented by TTD is 100% transparent. “We have brought this system to the fore after plugging all the loopholes. For the pilgrim information we are also displaying the names of seva allotted pilgrims on our website which speaks about our transparent measures”, he added.

IMPROVE QUALITY IN TIRUMALA HOTELS

Taking a note of devotee Sri Srimannarayana from Warangal who informed to improve the quality of food in hotels which are charging sky high rates, the EO said, a team of officers concerned will be deployed to inspect and necessary measures will be initiated soon.

TRADITIONAL DRESS CODE FOR DARSHAN

When Sri Satyabhaskar from Vijayawada and Sri Hariprasad from Chennai sought to take a review on making Dhoti compulsory for Rs.300 darshan, the EO said, as the waiting time for Rs.300 darshan pilgrims is not more than two hours, the pilgrims of this category should come for darshan in Dhoti or Kurta-Pyjama unlike other category darshan pilgrims who wait for over 12 hours.

NO Rs.300 DURING BRAHMOTSAVAMS

In view of anticipated heavy pilgrim rush during annual brahmotsavams in the last week of September, Rs.300 tickets will not be issued during that period, said TTD EO to the pilgrim caller Sri Bhaskar from Karimnagar.

ILLUMINATED “TIRUMALA” LIKE NAMALU

A pilgrim caller Sri Naveenkumar from Chittoor suggested EO to set illuminated letters of “Tirumala” atop Tirumala hill akin to the Tirunamalu and Shanku-chakram which are visible at present. The EO while welcoming the suggestion will look into this after receiving similar feedback from more pilgrims.

AVOID USAGE OF PLASTIC BAGS IN TIRUMALA

Another caller Sri Srinivasa Rao from Hyderabad suggested TTD EO to completely ban usage of plastic bags for distribution of prasadams in Tirumala and send a message to the entire country for which the EO said, though TTD has also similar plan, due to non availability of food grade materials, the idea is not completely implemented. “But we will work out on this and come out with better solution”, he added.
