5.64 LAKH PILGRIMS FED DURING BRAHMOTSAVAMS, SAYS ANNAPRASADAM CHIEF VENUGOPAL
Tirumala, 21 October 2015: In all 5.64 lakh were given free meals at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam complex, VQC queue lines, footpaths and four mada streets during the nine days of Navaratri Brahmotsavams, says Sri Venugopal DyEO heading the SV Nityanna Prasadam Trust.
Speaking to reporters at the Media center Sri Venugopal said on the Garuda seva day the pilgrims were given over one lakh meals at complex, besides food packets including semia upma, pulihara, curd rice, sambar rice at four mada street galleries, VQC queue complex. ‘We also gaver away four lakh packets of butter milk, 5 lakh packets of drinking water.
He said the TTD has taken extraordinary steps to ensure, quality food production and also distribution and all products were tested by experts labs before sent to to queue lines. ‘TTD has also introduced buffet system in the dining hall no-4 at MTVAC to speed up the process for convenience of the devotees.
