TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PILGRIMS TAKE PART IN CHAKRASNANAM

Tirumala, 1 October 2017: The last and one of the most important fetes during Tirumala Brahmotsavams wherein thousands of pilgrims take part, the Sudarshana Chakrasnana Mahotsavam was observed with utmost religious fervour in Tirumala on Sunday.

The Ayudha Pursha, anthropomorphic form of Lord Venkateswara was rendered the celestial Avabhruda Snanam amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns by Vedic pundits when temple priests are performing snapanam to the processional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy, Sri Devi, Bhu Devi and Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar.

PANCHASUKTAS RECITED:

The deities were seated on the banks of Swamy Pushkarini in the front yard of Sri BhuVarahaSwamy temple. The celestial snapanam commenced by 6am. The fete commenced with Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam followed by Mukha Prakshalana.

Later the snapanam was performed to the deities with milk, honey, coconut water, turmeric paste and sandal paste and the Vedic pundits recited Panchasuktas including Sri, Bhu, Neela, Purusha Suktams.

SIGNIFICANCE OF SUDARSHANA CHAKRATTALWAR:

Rigged describes Sudarshana Chakra as symbol of Lord Maha Vishnu. In the puranas, the Sudarshana Chakra was said to be made by the architect of gods, Vishwakarma. The Sudarshana Chakra is described to have 10 million spikes in two rows moving in opposite directions to give it a serrated edge. The Sudarshna Chakra is described as Prana, Maya, Kriya, Shakti, Bhava, Unmera, Udyama and Sankalpa. Sudarshana manifests in 5 main ways to wit the five Shaktis, which are creation, preservation, destruction, obstruction and obscuration.

IMPORTANCE OF CHAKRASNANAM

It is observed as Upasamanotsavam for the deities, after a hectic eight-day and night Vahanam schedule during annual Brahmotsavams. The anthropomorphic form of Lord, Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar, is being rendered the holy dip for three times in the sacred waters of Swamy Pushkarini to appease Him. The devotees strongly believe that a holy dip on this auspicious occasion will free them from all sins and from rebirth.

THOUSANDS TAKE HOLY DIP

Braving the inclement weather, thousands of devotees gathered in side the temple tank for holy dip. TTD made elaborate arrangements of security to see no untoward incident takes place during the celestial fete. Swimmers and divers have been deployed and three boat teams guarded the fete. LED screens erected at Pushkarini Mandapam provided visual treat to devotees with SVBC live telecast of Chakrsnanam.

వైభవోపేతంగా చక్రధారుడి చక్రస్నానం

తిరుమల, 01 అక్టోబరు 2017: శ్రీవారి సాలకట్ల బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో చివరి రోజైన ఆదివారం ఉదయం చక్రస్నానం వైభవంగా జరిగింది. విశేష సంఖ్యలో భక్తులు విచ్చేసి శ్రీవారి పుష్కరిణిలో పుణ్యస్నానాలు ఆచరించారు.

అంతకుముందు తెల్లవారుజామున 3.00 నుండి 6.00 గంటల వరకు స్వామివారికి పల్లకీ ఉత్సవం వైభవంగా జరిగింది. ఉదయం 6.00 నుంచి 9.00 గంటల నడుమ శ్రీ భూవరాహస్వామి ఆలయం ముఖ మండపంలో శ్రీదేవి, భూదేవి సమేత శ్రీమలయప్పస్వామివారికి, శ్రీ సుదర్శన చక్రత్తాళ్వార్లకు స్నపనతిరుమంజనం వైభవంగా నిర్వహించారు.

ఇందులో ముందుగా విష్వక్సేనారాధన, పుణ్యహవచనం, ముఖ ప్రక్షాళన, ధూపదీప నైవేద్యం, ఛత్ర ఛామర వ్యజన దర్పణాది నైవేద్యం, రాజోపచారం నిర్వహించారు. అర్ఘ్యపాద నివేదనలో భాగంగా పాలు, తేనె, కొబ్బరినీళ్లు, పసుపు, గంధంతో స్నపనం నిర్వహించారు. వీటిని శంఖనిధి, పద్మనిధి, సహస్రధార, కుంభధారణలతో వైఖానస ఆగమయుక్తంగా స్నపనం నిర్వహించారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా ఉపనిషత్తు మంత్రములు, దశశాంతి మంత్రములు, పురుషసూక్తం, శ్రీసూక్తం, భూసూక్తం, నీలాసూక్తం, విష్ణుసూక్తం వంటి పంచసూక్త మంత్రములు, దివ్యప్రబంధంలోని అభిషేక సమయంలో అనుసంధానము చేసే వేదాలను టిటిడి వేదపారాయణదారులు పారాయణం చేశారు. అభిషేకానంతరం వివిధ పాశురాలను శ్రీశ్రీశ్రీ పెద్ద జీయ్యంగార్‌, శ్రీశ్రీశ్రీ చిన్న జీయ్యంగార్లు పఠించారు. ఈ వేడుకలో ఒక్కో క్రతువులో ఒక్కో రకమైన ఉత్తమ జాతి పుష్ప మాలలను స్వామి, అమ్మవార్లకు అలంకరించారు.

తొమ్మిదిరోజుల ఉత్సవాలలో జరిగిన అన్ని సేవలూ సఫలమై – లోకం క్షేమంగా ఉండడానికీ, భక్తులు సుఖశాంతుల్తో ఉండడానికీ – చక్రస్నానం నిర్వహించారు. ఉత్సవాలు ఒక యజ్ఞమే కనుక – యజ్ఞాంతంలో అవభృథస్నానం’ చేస్తారు. యజ్ఞనిర్వహణంలో జరిగిన చిన్నచిన్న లోపాలవల్ల ఏర్పడే దుష్పరిణామాలు తొలగి, అన్నీ సంపూర్ణ ఫలాలు చేకూరడంకోసం చేసే దీక్షాంతస్నానం అవభృథం.

చక్రస్నానం (అవభృథం)లో శ్రీవారి సుదర్శనచక్రంకు (చక్రత్తాళ్వార్‌కు) పుష్కరిణిలో స్నానం నిర్వహించే ముందు శ్రీభూసమేతమలయప్పమూర్తికి ‘స్నపన తిరుమంజనం’ నిర్వహించారు. తర్వాత సుదర్శన చక్రాన్ని పవిత్ర పుష్కరిణీజలంలో ముంచి, స్నానం చేయించారు. ఆ దివ్యాయుధ స్పర్శవల్ల పవిత్రమైన పుష్కరిణీజలంలో భక్తసమూహం కూడా అదే సమయంలో స్నానం చేశారు. ఇందువల్ల ఈ ఉత్సవాలు చేసినవారికి, చేయించినవారికి, ఇందుకు సహకరించినవారికీ, దర్శించిన వారికీ – అందరికీ ఈ ఉత్సవయజ్ఞఫలం లభిస్తుంది.

చక్రస్నానంనాటి సాయంకాలం ధ్వజావరోహణం యథావిధిగా చేస్తారు. ఇంతటితో బ్రహ్మోత్సవయజ్ఞం మంగళాంతం అవుతుంది.

ఎవరైతే బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలలో పాలు పంచుకొంటారో వారు సమస్త పాపవిముక్తులై, ధనధాన్య సమృద్ధితో తులతూగుతారు. విషమృత్యు నాశనం, రాజ్యపదవులవంటి సకల ఐహిక శ్రేయస్సులు పొందుతారు. పరాంతకాలం వరకూ ఎటువంటి జనన, మరణ వికారములు లేకుండా సర్వలోకాలలో యథేచ్ఛగా విహరిస్తూ బ్రహ్మానందాన్ని పొంది శాశ్వతమైన విష్ణులోకాన్ని చేరుకొంటారు.

అనంతరం రాత్రి 7.00 నుండి 9.00 గంటల మధ్య బంగారు తిరుచ్చి ఉత్సవం జరుగనుంది. రాత్రి 9.00 నుండి 10.00 గంటల మధ్య ధ్వజావరోహణంతో శ్రీ వారి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు ఘనంగా ముగియనున్నాయి.
