Tirumala, 5 October 2018: Before receiving the calls from pilgrims as a part of Dial your EO program, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal informed the pilgrims on the important activities, rituals lined up in the month of October and also a over view of festivals of previous month. Some excerpts:

Preparations for Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams

All out arrangements have been made for convenience and comfort of the devotees expected to participate in the Navaratri Brahmotsavams from October 10-18.

TTD has decided to reduce the number of tokens for Divya Darshan and Sarva Darshan and Rs.300 special darshan tickets on all Saturdays and Sundays till October 20-21, In view of heavy crowds of devotees during the holy month of Peratasi (scared for Tamil devotees), Dasara Festival and Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams etc.

With an objective to provide Srivari Darshan to more devotees during Brahmotsavams, TTD has cancelled all Arjita sevas, special darshans as well

Organized running of RTC buses on par with the surge of devotee crowds for Brahmotsavam.

Plying of two-wheelers on the Tirumala ghat roads has been banned on October 14th in view of Garuda Seva day.

Similarly special parking lots have been readied near Alipiri gateway in Tirupati and Srivari Mettu near Srinivasa Mangapuram and all devotees are requested to utilize them.

Nearly 3000 Srivari Sevakulu, 1000 Scouts and Guides besides the regular TTD vigilance and Police will provide services to devotees during the nine day long celestial event of Brahmotsavams.

Cultural troupes from AP, Telangana, Gujarat, Haryana, Chattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala will put up devotional feats during Brahmotsavams

The events include folk dances like Voggu dolu, Dappulu, Pancha Vaidhyalu and other traditional arts.

New Shed for Aged and physically disabled on South Mada street.

Brand new and comfortable sheds have been put up on the South Mada Street for benefit of physically challenged persons and Aged persons with all basic amenities, drinking water, chairs and food etc.

Online facilitation of Arjita Seva tickets of Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple.

From October 1, all the arjita Seva tickets of Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor were made available to devotees on line.

50 % of the seva tickets will be online and rest 50% will be made available in current booking

Devotees of Sri Padmavati Ammavaru can book their arjita Seva tickets either 90 days ahead or before 48 hours of the event.
