Tirumala, 29 December 2016: With just a couple of days to go for the new year on January 1 and for the twin important occasions of Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi on January 8 and 9 respectively, the TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao organised the final review meeting on arrangements with all HoDs in Tirumala.

The meeting took place at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Thursday evening. The TTD administrative chief reviewed department wise arrangements along with Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju. Later speaking to media both the EO and JEO briefed on the arrangements.

Some excerpts:

@ No referral VIP letters for darshan and accommodation will be entertained.

@ Arjitha sevas are cancelled on January 1, 8 and 9.

@ No privilege darshans

@ No Divya Darshan tokens will be issued on January 8 and 9

@ Devotees will be allowed to enter inside compartments on January 7 after 9am onwards only

@ Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi darshan for commoners to commence by 4am

@Apart from 54 compartments, TTD has arranged 16 compartments with Samiyana in Narayanagiri Gardens to accommodate around 15 thousand pilgrims

@ Four Lakh water and one Lakh butter milk packets

@ Special programmes by HDPP, Dasa Sahitya, Annamacharya wings to entertain waiting pilgrims

@ Special illumination and floral arrangements

@ Tiffin from 4am to 10am in MTVAC on Jan 8 for pilgrims after darshan

@ RTC buses to ply round the clock on December 31, January 1, 6, 7, 8 and 9.
