FREE EYE CLINIC CENTRE INAUGURATED AT TIRUMALA

TIRUMALA, JAN 1:  To provide free eye treatment to visiting pilgrims, the EO of temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Sri IYR Krishna Rao has inaugurated a free eye clinic centre at TTD-run Aswini hospital in Tirumala on Saturday. The Sri Srinivasa Sankara Netralaya(SSSN) which is also offering service in Tirupati central hospital will do similar service in Tirumala in this eye centre.

Addressing the occasion after inaugurating the clinic, the EO said, the pilgrims will be offered free eye treatment on a day during a week. “After the preliminary treatment, if the patient is diagnosed with any abnormality, he will be referred to take treatment at Central Hospital in Tirupati for further medical treatment”, the EO added.

Later the EO has also inaugurated Rs.18lakhs worth ultra sound scanner in Tirupati Central hospital.

TTD Tirumala JEO, Sri K.Bhaskar, Special Grade Deputy EO of Reception Sri Lakshmi Kantham, Chief medical officer of TTD Dr.C.Prabhakar, in-charges Dr.Nageshwara Rao and Dr.Srinivasulu were also present on the occasion.
