”HEARING GADGETS TO INFANTS WITHIN A MONTH”-TTD CHAIRMAN

Tirupati, 2 September, 2015: “Shravanam” Project run by TTD is a boon to the children who was born with hearing impairedness and we will take all care of the infants and see that everyone get hearing gadgets in a month”, said TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

The TTD Trust board chief visited Shravanam Project in Tirupati on Wednesday morning and interacted with the children, their parents and faculty members.

Later speaking to media persons, he said, the project which was started by TTD in the year 2006 with just 15 infants and today there are over 180 children who are undergoing medication and schooling in this institute.

“This project is aimed at providing assistance to infants and children below five years with hearing impairment. There are about 60 well trained teachers to take care of these children. TTD is providing free hostel facility and boarding also to the parents of these kids. We are contemplating to provide free food to the day scholars also”, he maintained.

Later the parents expressed immense pleasure about the services offered by TTD and the treatment being given to their kids so as to enable them to lead a normal life like other children.

TTD Chief Medical Officer Dr N Vikas, PRO Dr T Ravi were also present.
