KARTHIKA DEEPOTSAVAM IN TTD TEMPLES ON DEC 6

TIRUPATI, DEC 5: The temples of TTD have been getting ready to observe the auspicious “Festival of Lights”- Karthika Deepotsavam in Tirumala and other shrines located in and around Tirupati on December 6.

In the Srivari Temple at Tirumala, karthika deepotsavam will be observed with religious fervour in a grand manner by lighting ghee lamps in mud pots of different sizes all along the temple starting from Mahadwaram to Garbhalayam.

It will be a delightful feast to the devotees to witness the beauty of the hill shrine in the natural ghee lit lamps.

TTD has cancelled Vasanthotsavam and Sahasradeepalankara Sevas in connection with this festival on Saturday.

Apart from Tirumala temple, the lamps will also be lit in the sub-shrines of Tirumala including Yoga Narasimha Swamy temple, Vakulamata temple, Ramanujacharya Sannidhi, Varahaswamy temple, Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple etc.

Apart from Tirumala temple, the Karthika Deepotsavam will also be observed in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple, Kodanda Rama Swamy temple in Tirupati.

Meanwhile, Karthika Deepotsavam is observed in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati on Friday evening as per Saiva Agama.
