Lord Balaji temple at Maha Kumbha mela

Allahabad, January 23: For the first time in history of the hoary religious shrine of Tirumala, the procession of Utsavamurthis of Lord Venkateswara will be conducted in the ongoing Maha Kumbha Mela at Allahabad on January 24th.
 
The TTD officials who reached Allahabad along with the specially designed vahanams to carry the sacred deities of Lord Venkateswara and his consorts at the venue of the Kumbha Mela discussed the route and other details with the Kumbha Mela officials.
 
The TTD Superintentdent Engineer Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Public Relations Officer, Sri T Ravi and other officials who is camping at Allahabad to supervise all the details of the program said that the Mela authorities had given them a specific route for the procession of Lord Venkateswara at the Mela. He said the route of the Lord Venkateswara’s procession will be from Central University to Sangam (the confluence of Ganga and Yamuna) via Kutchery road, civil lines, medical Chowraha,Geroge town, MP Marg,Shobatia Bagh, Parade, Kali sadak and Sangam
 
Sri Ravi said the entire program of TTD was aimed to provide the citizens of Allahabad and also the common man who visit Kumbha Mela an opportunity to get blessing and darshan of Lord Venkateswara away from Tirupati. The TTD has installed a replica of the Tirumala temple of Lord Venkateswara at Sangam which will be inaugurated by TTD chairman  Sri K Bapiraju and  Executive Officer  Sri L V Subramanyam  on January 27th and remain there till March 10th and also brought 150 staffers including priests to perform daily rituals.
 
He said  the TTD has laid out a program to conduct daily  rituals and pujas on January 27th at the Mela pavilion specially erected by the Temple  authorities  on the same lines as it is performed at Tirumala – Suprabatham (morning rituals) to Ekantha seva ( Late night rituals.
 
He appealed to all the residents of Allahabad and pilgrims to Maha Kumbha Mela to take full advantage of the TTD program at Allahabad and get blessings of Lord Venkateswara and achieve peace, happiness, prosperity and health in life.
