Tirumala, 16 October 2026: On the bright sunny day on Friday witnessed Sri Malayappa donning Mohini… The Universal celestial beauty Alankara as a part of ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala on fifth day.
The deity is specially adorned as Mohini—the enchanting beauty was taken in a grand procession, l on an ivory palanquin accompanied by Sri Krishna Swamy on another palanquin.
The observance recalls the episode after the churning of the cosmic ocean, when the Devas and Asuras competed for amritam (nectar of immortality), Sri Maha Vishnu assumed the captivating Mohini form, diverted the Asuras, and ensured that the nectar was distributed to the Devas—thereby protecting dharma.
In Tirumala’s tradition, the Mohini Avataram symbolises that the Asuras’ arrogance and desire were defeated, while the Devas, who sought refuge in the almighty, received divine grace.
The Mohini Avataram represents the divine intervention to uphold righteousness and protect the virtuous.
Devotees are reminded that worldly attractions are part of divine Maya and the carrier teaches them not to be enslaved by desire and to seek liberation through devotion.
Both the Pontiffs, TTD higher officials, board members and a large gathering of devotees were also present.

తిరుమల, అక్టోబరు 16, 2026: కలియుగ ప్రత్యక్ష దైవం తిరుమల శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వరస్వామివారి నవరాత్రి బ్రహ్మోత్సవాల్లో ఐదో రోజైన శుక్రవారం ఉదయం శ్రీ మలయప్పస్వామివారు మోహినీ అవతారంలో సర్వాలంకార భూషితుడై భక్తులకు జగన్మోహనాకారంలో దర్శనమిచ్చారు. మరో తిరుచ్చిపై శ్రీకృష్ణస్వామివారు అలంకృతులై భక్తులకు అభయమిచ్చారు.
గజరాజులు ముందు నడుస్తుండగా, భక్తజన బృందాల భజనలు, కోలాటాలు, జీయ్యంగార్ల ఘోష, మంగళవాయిద్యాల నడుమ స్వామివారి పల్లకీసేవ వైభవంగా సాగింది. అడుగడుగునా భక్తులు కర్పూర హారతులు సమర్పిస్తూ శ్రీవారిని దర్శించుకుని భక్తిపారవశ్యంలో మునిగిపోయారు.
మోహినీ అవతారం.. మాయామోహాల నుంచి విముక్తికి సందేశం
మోహినీ అవతారం జగత్తును ఆవహించిన మాయామోహాలకు అతీతంగా భగవంతుని తత్త్వాన్ని గ్రహించాలనే ఆధ్యాత్మిక సందేశాన్ని అందిస్తుంది. సమస్త జగత్తు భగవంతుని లీలా విలాసమని, ఆయన అనుగ్రహంతోనే మాయామోహాలను అధిగమించి ఆధ్యాత్మిక ఉన్నతిని పొందగలమనే తత్త్వాన్ని ఈ అవతారం చాటిచెబుతుంది.
