“NO ADVANCE BOOKING FACILITY FOR VAKUNTHA EKADASI AND NEW YEAR”-TTD EO

TIRUMALA, NOVEMBER 7: ”As the twin important occasion of New Year and Vaikuntha Ekadasi are coinciding on the same day on January 1 in 2015, the temple administration of TTDs is contemplating not to issue any advance booking tickets in wake of anticipated heavy pilgrim rush”, said TTD EO Sri M G Gopal.

Addressing the pilgrim callers during the montly “Dial You EO” programme in Tirumala at Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday, the TTD EO answering the queries of Sri Srinivas from Rajamundry, Sri Nani from Pithapuram, Smt Sridevikamakshi from Kanchipuram, Sri Srinivas of Godavarikhani the EO said since the heavy rush is expected this time on January 1, we are soon to make a policy decision to cancel all the advance booking seva tickets. The pilgrims will be allowed in Sarva Darshan only”, he maintained.

Answering the queries of Sri Janardhanachari from Adoni, Sri Venkatasway from Ongole to reimlement the same darshan line for Rs.50 advance ticket booking holders since the changed line is too far away, the EO said, since last week TTD has changed the line and made it convenient for Rs.50 darshan ticket holders.

Reacting to a pilgrim caller Smt Vanajakshi from Chintamani of Karnataka, who sought to take the services Scouts and Guides again which was earlier in practice in TTD, the EO said, as per the instructions of Mrs.Shalini Mishra, IAS who is the State Commissioner of AP Scouts and Guides, TTD has stopped their services following some malpractices in Scoutes and Guides. The Karnataka Commission for Scouts and Guides can negotiate with AP on this subject. Any decision in this aspect is not in the hands of TTD until we get further orders from AP State Commissioner for Scouts and Guides”, he added.
Answering the queries of Sri Narayana Reddy of Rajamundry and Sri Venkataswamy of Bangalore, the EO said, the interests of Hindu Santana Dharma and the sanctity of Tirumala temple will be protected and it is the top priority on TTD chords. “There is no need to worry about the evangelic provocations done by some miscreants and propagating the video on internet. Very soon we are purchasing some advanced internet gadgets to restrict such on-line mischiefs”, he maintained.

Earlier, the TTD EO briefed on the festivals in the month of November at Tirumala, Tirupati, Tiruchanoor and other related sub-shrines of TTD. “In this auspicious month of Karthika, we have another big event of the nine-day annual brahmtosavams of Goddess Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor from November 19 to November 27. The pilgrims should take part in this religious event and get the divine blessings of Goddess”, he maintained.

“There will be Karthika Vanabhojanam on November 9 in Paruveta Mandapam in Tirumala, Laksha Deeparchana onNovember 11 in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati, the annual brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi Devi will conclude at Tiruchanoor with Panchami Teertham on November 27”, he maintained.
