SRI GODA RANGANATHA PARINAYAM CELEBRATED WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOUR IN DHARAMAGIRI

TIRUMALA, JAN 12:  The celestial marriage of Andal Sri Goda Devi with the Supreme Lord Sri Ranganatha Swamy has been celebrated with religious fervour in Dharmagiri Veda Pathashala on Saturday in Tirumala following the ceremonious conclusion of Dhanurmasam.

With the advent of holy Dhanurmasa during the late hours of December 16 last, the vedic students of Dharmagiri Vedapathashala began Pasura Parayanam from the same day itself. The Godaparinayam marked the end of the holy month.

Sri Goda being an ardent devotee of Lord Ranaganatha dedicated her hole life in His service and succeeded in becoming his Consort with pure love. Goda Parinayam marks the unification of Jeevathma with Paramathma.

Earlier the holy bridegroom by carrying the palanquin of Lord while Later both the bride and bridegroom exchanged floral garlands thrice before they were proceeded for Unjal Seva. After Unjal seva, the utsava murthies of Goddess Goda and Lord Sri Ranganatha were taken inside the marriage hall where the celestial marriage has been performed with utmost reverence by the students of Divyaprabandha, Pancharatra and Sri Vaishnavam. After the celestial marriage, the devotees were given the prasadam.

Vedapathashala Principal Sri Avadhani, Alwar Divya Prabandha Project Special Officer Sri Singanacharyulu, and other staffs of Vedapathashala, students were also present.
