TEMPLE CLEANSING WITH ‘PARIMALAM’ ON JULY 11_ జూలై 11న శ్రీవారి ఆలయంలో కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనం
Tirumala, 6 July 2017: In connection with Salakatla Anivara Asthanam on July 16, the traditional temple cleansing ceremony Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on July 11 in Tirumala temple.
Koil means ‘Holy Shrine’. Alwar means “Devotee”. Tirumanjanam means “Cleaning with aromatic ingredients”. Therefore Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam is a purifying ceremony of sanctum santorum and temple premises by devotees. During the ceremony all the deities and other articles are removed from sanctum sanctorum and cleansed with special aromatic mixture called “Parimalam”, while the “Mula Virat” is covered with a water- proof covering.
The entire Garbha Griham, including floors, ceilings and walls, sub-shrines inside the sanctum, puja articles are cleaned with water and Tirumanjanam which is a composition of camphor, sandal paste, saffron, turmeric Kicchili Gadda (a root vegetable) etc. is smeared, which acts as a disinfectant.
The covering of the main deity is then removed and other articles are replaced inside as usual. This ceremony is performed strictly as per the agamas and is conducted four times year before Ugadi, Anivara Asthanam, Vaikunta Eakadasi and Annual Brahmotsavams.

తిరుమల, 2017 జూలై 06: తిరుమల శ్రీ వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామి ఆలయంలో ఈనెల 16వ తేదీన సాలకట్ల ఆణివార ఆస్థానాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని జూలై 11వ తేదీన మంగళవారంనాడు కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనాన్ని టిటిడి నిర్వహించనుంది.
సాధారణంగా సంవత్సరంలో నాలుగుసార్లు ఈ కోయిల్‌ ఆళ్వార్‌ తిరుమంజనాన్ని నిర్వహించడం ఆనవాయితీ. ఉగాది, ఆణివార ఆస్థానం, బ్రహ్మూెత్సవం, వైకుంఠ ఏకాదశి పర్వదినాల ముందు మంగళవారం ఆలయ శుద్ధి కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహిస్తారు.
జూలై 11న ఉదయం 6 నుండి ఉదయం 11 గంటల వరకు ఈ ఆలయ శుద్ధి కార్యక్రమాన్ని అర్చకులు ఆగమోక్తంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ తిరుమంజన ఉత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకొని అష్టదళ పాదపద్మారాధన సేవను టిటిడి రద్దు చేసింది. ఇతర ఆర్జిత సేవలు యథాతథంగా జరుగుతాయి.
ఆలయంలోని ఆనందనిలయం మొదలుకొని బంగారువాకిలి వరకు, శ్రీవారి ఆలయం లోపల ఉప దేవాలయాలు, ఆలయ ప్రాంగణం, గోడలు, పైకప్పు, పూజాసామగి తదితర అన్ని వస్తువులను నీటితో శుభ్రంగా కడుగుతారు. ఈ యావత్‌ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ఆలయ సిబ్బంది ఒక మహాయజ్ఞంలా నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ సమయంలో స్వామివారి మూలవిరాట్టును వస్త్రంతో పూర్తిగా కప్పి వేస్తారు. శుద్ధి పూర్తి అయిన అనంతరం నామకోపు, శ్రీ చూర్ణం, కస్తూరి పసుపు, పచ్చాకు, గడ్డ కర్పూరం, గంధం పొడి, కుంకుమ, కిచీలిగడ్డ తదితర సుగంధ ద్రవ్యాలు కలగలిపిన పవిత్ర జలాన్ని ఆలయం అంతటా ప్రోక్షణం చేస్తారు.
అనంతరం స్వామివారి మూలవిరాట్టుకు కప్పిన వస్త్రాన్ని తొలగించి ప్రత్యేక పూజ, నైవేద్యం కార్యక్రమాలను అర్చకులు శాస్త్రోక్తంగా నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఆలయ అధికారులు పాల్గొంటారు. అనంతరం భక్తులను మధ్యాహ్నం 12.00 గంటల నుండి సర్వదర్శనానికి అనుమతిస్తారు.
