TIRUMALA JEO HANDS OVER THE PRECIOUS JEWEL TO HIS TIRUPATI JEO

Tirumala, 30 November 2016: The Lakshmi Kasula Haram-One of the most important and precious jewels in the treasury of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala, was brought to Tirupati in a ceremonious way to be adorned to Goddess Padmavathi for Gaja Vahanam on Saturday.

Earlier in Tirumala, a procession of the jewel was held around the four mada streets and later it was brought down to Tirupati in a vehicle amidst tight security. Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju received the jewel at Urban Haat in Tirupati and carried it in a procession upto Pasupu Mandapam and handed over it to his Tirupati counterpart Sri Pola Bhaskar. From that point Shobha Yatra has been performed and the temple staff received the jewel at the entrance of Padmavathi temple in Tiruchanoor.
