VASANTHOTSAVAM DAY 02
Tirumala, March 30-03-2018 : The Day-2 of the annual Vasantotsavam at Srivari Temple was observed with gaiety and granduer at the brightly decorated Vasantha Mandapam at Tirumala on Friday.
The Unique festival which was commenced in1460 during the regime of Vijayanagara king Achutaraya is a feast where in the TTD garden department created a Bhuloka Nandanavanam with greenary and flower decked animals, water falls etc.
After the morning event of Rathotsavam, the celestial event of Snapana thirumanjanam was performed to utsava idols of Malayappaswamy and his consorts Sri Devi and Bhudevi at the Vasantha Mandapam.
As part of the Vasanthotsavam ritual the Viswaksenaradhana, Punyahavachanam, Navakalashabhisekam, Rajopacharam, Chatra chamara vrajana Darpanadi Naivdedyam, Mukha Prakshalana, doopa-deepa Naivedyam etc performed.
In view of the Vasantotsavam the arjita sevas like Tomala seva, Archana, Nijapada darshana seva have been cancelled on Friday.
Among others Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar swami and Sri Sri Sri Chinna jeeyar swamy, DyEO Sri Harindranath and others participated in the event.
